Our milling spindles are equipped with established, standardized interfaces for automatic tool change. It is preferred to use the proven HSK interface for high-speed or high-precision machining.
Conventional tool spindles are either used for rotational or milling applications. Thanks to the innovative shaft locking system, one can use one spindle for both applications without any problems. The following video shows how to operate the shaft lock developed by GMN. No machining forces act on the spindle during lathe operations when locked.
