GMN freewheel clutch insert elements with rings are optionally available with integrated meander or tension spring. The FR and FRN series are designed for installation on non-hardened and unground connecting parts. GMN freewheel clutch insert elements with rings are suitable for either oil or grease lubrication. All GMN freewheel clutch insert elements with rings can be used as indexing clutches, backstops or as overruning clutches.
The FR series contains freewheel clutch insert elements with rings.

The freewheel clutch insert element requires axial constraints on both sides.
Hardening and grinding of the mating parts are not necessary. Thoroughly clean (grease free) the mating parts in the vicinity of the freewheel clutch as well as the freewheel clutch’s rings before making the press fit.
Freewheel clutch insert elements are not self-centering. External bearing support to define the gap between mating parts (inner and outer rings) is necessary.
