The sprags are arranged uniformly around the circumference of the sprag cage. The sprag cage has no contact whatsoever with connecting parts; it remains absolutely load-free in every operational state.
GMN sprag type freewheel clutches, fitted with a plastic cage in standard design, are available as a special design with a steel cage on request.

Plastic cage: max. 140 °C
