After visual inspection of shipping container prior to removal of the spindle, the spindle is first checked visually. It is then determined if a test run is required or possible. In addition, a database containing our serial numbers provides information about the age and repair history of the spindle. If test run is not possible, the spindle is disassembled for further evaluation.
All components are measured and inspected per print specifications to determine, if repair or replacement is required. This style of preventive maintenance helps ensure a maximum uptime for your spindle repair and ultimately your machine.
You will receive a cost estimate with detailed information about the damage, the cause of failure and estimated delivery. If required, we can provide additional support to you by means of pictorial documentation. Unless otherwise authorised, the spindle elements will remain in their original condition until you release them for repair.
After receipt of your repair release (repair order), we start with the actual repair work. The components are cleaned, reworked according to original specification or replaced by original GMN spare parts. In this case, special attention is paid to the delivery date agreed with you, which in addition is monitored by our PPS-system.
We assure the quality of the GMN SPINDLE REPAIR SERVICE by means of mechanical and dynamic functional checks on our test stand. During the tests the spindle must meet the same quality requirements as a new spindle. The measured values determined are entered in a test certificate and submitted to you with the repaired spindle.
